Holyrood Abbey
Our thesis is largely based on the case study of Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh, and the deformation of its south aisle vaults following the collapse of the nave in 1768. The main part of our investigation will involve testing a quarter-scale model of one of the aisle vaults which will be subjected to various loading conditions.
